A little late getting started this morning. We were out late, last night with good friends, talking about traveling together later this year. Good food, good wine, and lots of laughs. Thanks, J & R! I did manage to finish this serene water view before heading out. There's lots of glazing over the water to give it depth and light, and the square format's nice, too.Paintings of the Florida Everglades and Marco Island. Everglades paintings. Water's Edge daily painting by Everglades Artist JoAnn Sanborn
A little late getting started this morning. We were out late, last night with good friends, talking about traveling together later this year. Good food, good wine, and lots of laughs. Thanks, J & R! Edge of a Pond
It took quite a few layers of glazing to give this image the depth and definition I wanted. The composition is a delicate balance of the verticals and horizontals and the mood of the day very quiet. The blue of the pond was exaggerated a little to give it more of a presence. Each part of the landscape should come alive to you in its own way as you view this painting.Sold
